It's Real Bread Week
You may or may not have noticed in the press but this week is Real Bread Week, celebrating better bred bread.
What is Real Bread? Put simply Real Bread has nothing to hide. It is made with simple, natural ingredients and NO artificial additives.
Created and run since 2010 by the Real Bread Campaign, Real Bread Week's main aims are to encourage and help people around the globe to:
* Buy Real Bread from local, independent bakeries
* Bake their own Real Bread
* Support Sustain, the charity behind the Real Bread Campaign
Throughout the pandemic, local Real Bread bakeries have been there for people in their local communities. Real Bread Week is a perfect time for people to swing by (or order a delivery online) to give a little extra love back.

A slow recovery
I was hoping by now that I would be up and baking again but I'm still not quite back to 100% yet. I had to have an operation in December, and was advised that a 6 week recuperation period was sensible. Rather than push things too early I'd like to make sure I was back to full strength before picking up the reins again. Thanks for bearing with me and I hope to be bringing you more freshly baked treats, in some form, by February.
I am very excited to announce that starting today, I will be at Wilfrid's Café - Droxford's community cafe, selling Borderlands Bakehouse breads and trying to help out with any baking challenges that you might have. I will also be supplying Wilfrid's with a range of pastries every Saturday. The selection will vary each week, but we will be starting...
